• Marcus Jeffries Editor-in-Chief

  Marcus oversees all editorial operations at Rubber City Signal. He has spent most of his career in local journalism across Northeast Ohio, covering government, labor, and economic development. He grew up in the Akron area and returned after years of reporting elsewhere because he wanted to do this work in the community he knows best.

• Dana Kowalski Managing Editor

  Dana manages day-to-day editorial workflow, edits copy, and coordinates coverage priorities. She has a background in digital media and community journalism, with a particular interest in how local news organizations can build trust with the audiences they serve.

• Terrence Okafor Senior Staff Writer

  Terrence covers Akron city government, housing, and neighborhood development. He's reported on urban policy and community issues for several years and is drawn to stories about how public decisions play out block by block.

• Jenna Morales Staff Reporter

  Jenna covers education and Summit County government. She's a Northeast Ohio native with a background in print and digital reporting who believes school board meetings and county budget hearings deserve the same rigor as any statehouse story.

• Chris Yuen Staff Reporter

  Chris reports on small business, arts, culture, and community life across the Akron metro. He's interested in the people and places that give a city its character — the restaurants, venues, shops, and organizations that hold neighborhoods together.
